History: The SCIC of NN was started in August 2001 with 180 students and 4 Canadian teachers. Since then, SCIC has become one of the largest colleges in GXU, and, each year has 1000 to 1200 students and 25 to 35 Native English teachers.

Current year: SCIC has 1000 students and 25 Native English Teachers for the current academic year of 2014 to 2015.

Qualifications -

•English first language speaker

•Undergraduate university degree with two years teaching experience or Education degree and teaching experience, both with ESL/TEFL/TESOL/TESL certification

•Masters, PhD’s and linguistics majors sought for curriculum development and PD roles

•Applicants born and educated in Canada, the US, UK, Australia and New Zealand preferred

•Responsible, energetic and creative young and more mature adventure-some people with diverse backgrounds and with knowledge to share, wanted

Compensation package 120,000 to 150,000 RMB plus per year – [combined package of accommodation [2500 to 3000 RMB/month; salary of 6,000 to 9,000 RMB plus/Month; travel allowance of 14,000 RMB/Year as well as paid holidays – five plus weeks, basic medical insurance, etc]. Details below:
