Secondary Subject Teachers to Teach the British Curriculum
We require teachers across a range of subjects to teach the British curriculum to secondary students
Satit Prasarnmit International Programme requires full time teachers across various subjects for British curriculum years 8 to 11, starting 20th August 2012.
SWU Satit Prasarnmit (Secondary) - International Programme, a Cambridge International Examinations Centre, requires full-time teachers for British curriculum years 8 to 11 starting 20th August 2012 for the following subjects:
* English
* Science with Chemistry specialism
* Maths and ICT
The starting salary is a minimum of 70,000 baht per month, including a housing allowance.
* One Teacher/Curriculum Coordinator within the first three positions above is also required – this position is paid at a higher monthly salary than 70,000 baht per month.
* Thai Language and Culture (full time – minimum salary 40,000 baht per month)
* Thai Language and Culture (part time – 800 baht per 45 minute lesson taught)
* Teacher Librarian (minimum salary 40,000 baht per month, but would be higher if the post- holder teaches an additional subject to the library requirements).
The International Programme started in June 2010 as a new education development within the long established and highly respected co-educational Srinakharinwirot University Prasarnmit Demonstration School, situated on Soi 23 Sukhumvit, Bangkok. The School follows the British curriculum with students preparing for the IGCSE examinations. The programme is conducted in new custom-built premises, consisting of state of the art classrooms, science laboratories, library and performing arts rooms and theatres.
Teachers are contracted to deliver 24 x 45 minute subject and activity lessons per week out of a 40 lesson week.

Teachers with the following requirements will be contracted for one year:
• Must be a native English speaker for lessons conducted in English.
• Must hold a teaching licence from their country (an English language teaching certificate e.g. CELTA is not considered as a teaching licence).
• Must hold at least a bachelor degree.
• Must have at least 2 years experience teaching in their subject specialism.
• Must be in sympathy with the school philosophy, willing to be role models to the students and be committed to providing the best education possible.
Applications from teachers who do not meet the above criteria will not be acknowledged.
Previous teaching experience in Thailand will be an advantage.
