Seeking serious full time native speaking English teachers to come and work in one of our 3 centers in Zhuhai, Guangdong, China

New Journey International English is seeking serious full time native speaking English teachers to come and work in one of our 3 centers in Zhuhai, Guangdong. New Journey is an Adult English training center focusing on skill based language acquisition. We are looking for motivated and experienced teachers to join our team. Teachers will work a fulltime schedule (40 hours per week) with no more than 25 teaching hours per week.

ABOUT ZHUHAI: 
On the edge of the Pearl River Delta Zhuhai is one of the cleanest and most developed cities in China. Hong Kong and Shenzhen are both accessible by a 
1 hour ferry, while Guangzhou is a 1 hour away by train and Macau is within walking distance of the downtown area. Zhuhai is home to many expats and has a vibrant nightlife with many western restaurants and bars. But because of its small population living costs are much lower than in other nearby cities. 
LOCATION:

We currently have 5 campuses throughout Zhuhai.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Native English Speaker with neutral accent 
- Passport Holder from USA / Canada / Australia / New Zealand / UK / Ireland /South Africa 
- 2 years teaching experience 
- Teaching Certification (TESOL/TEFL) 
- Bachelor’s degree in any field 
- Positive attitude 
- Outgoing personality 
- Willingness to learn and use New Journey teaching methodology 
- 22 - 50 years old - Able to commit to a fulltime schedule for at least 12 months

METHODOLOGY:

- Teachers at New Journey regard English learning as skill building rather than knowledge transfer and adopt the blended approach which combines online courseware and classroom teaching. 
- Students are required to do the multimedia courseware study on their own devices prior to meeting the teacher for classroom instruction.

- In classroom teaching session, teachers apply the student-center communicative approach where at least 70% of class time is for students to do extension and personalization activities based on the sentence structures from the courseware while teachers spend at most 30% of the class time providing guidance, feedback and error corrections to students.

PREFERRED: 
- Bachelor’s or Masters degree in English or Applied linguistics 
- CELTA or DELTA qualifications 
- 2+ years teaching experience teaching adult learners 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 
- Plan and teach lessons in accordance with the provided materials 
- Ensure high quality of teaching 
- Deal with students’ enquiries and requests 
- Ensure that a good relationship with students and other staff members is developed and maintained 
- Co-ordinate with learning directors to follow students’ progress 
- Assist in some activities held by the center

BENEFITS:

- 16,000-25,000RMB salary per month (depending on qualifications and experience)
