The Job

We are currently recruiting new teachers to join our team and are looking for those who can deliver exciting, communicative English lessons and encourage our students to speak English with confidence. Our students are aged from 13 – 16 years old and the focus will be on developing their oral English and pronunciation as well as giving them some insights into Western culture. We are looking for teachers with a genuine desire to work with teenagers and instill in them a passion for the English language.



Teachers make use of our resources and course material to deliver engaging English language classes, designed to encourage communication and the natural use of English. We encourage use of English activities, games, songs and role plays and teachers are encouraged to use their creativity and personality to bring the lessons to life. Local teachers assistants accompany teachers in each class to assist with translation and classroom management where needed.

The school has over 3,000 students and classes run from Monday to Friday with teachers teaching 20 hours per week maximum with classes of 50 students.



Xuzhou City

Located in the northwestern part of the Jiangsu Province, not too far from Shanghai, the city has a distinct advantage with its excellent geographical position. After years of development, Xuzhou has become a city that perfectly combines traditional culture with modern life.

Main responsibilities

-20 hours per week are spent teaching

-Lesson planning

-Using program materials to teach English efficiently

-Evaluating student progress and providing ongoing guidance



Compensation Package

-Great salary: 8,000 – 12,000 RMB per month (negotiable for experienced teachers)

-Housing provided free: fully furnished, near the school (and 200 RMB towards monthly utility bills)

-Flight allowance: 5,000 RMB (paid on successful completion of 12 month contract)

-Annual leave: total 32 days: 11 national holidays + 2 months in the summer + 1 month in the winter

-Accident insurance

-Legal ‘Z’ work visa provided

-Airport pickup and hotel provided free

-Initial 1 week training on arrival

-On-going support



Note: Teachers have summer and winter holidays off work. These periods are paid at 1,500 RMB / month + free housing. Teachers are allowed to find part time teaching work during these times if they wish



Requirements

-Native English speaker from UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland

-Bachelor’s degree

-Teaching experience preferred
