About STL:

Founded in 1999, the STL (ShuTong) International Education Curriculum Center aims to provide a systematic international curriculum for students ranging from 3 to 18 years of age. Fourteen teaching facilities, each directly managed by the Center, have been set up in Guangzhou, Huizhou, Dongguan and Xinyang.

Job Details:

- It is a full-time position with a one-year contract starting in Feb.2014

- Work period: Wednesdays to Sundays with some evening sessions required; Mondays and Tuesdays off

- Total work time per week: 20 hours including conducting classes and attending school activities

- Class size: 10-12 students per class

- Work location: Tianhe or Panyu District in the city of Guangzhou

- Textbooks, related teaching materials, and a class schedule are provided

Main job tasks and responsibilities

- Follow class schedule, prepare well for class, and do lesson planning.

- Teach in a multi-media classroom, develop PPTs and related teaching tools according to textbook before class

- Conduct lessons assigned with effectiveness, and apply flexible teaching methods.

- Engage and motivate student learning in class.

- Be efficient in classroom management.

- Participate in staff workshops and school activities like marketing, English corner, and holiday celebrations.

- Keep a good record of school attendance with no tardiness.

- Passion in teaching young learners.

Salary and benefits

- Overall monthly salary: 12000 – 15000RMB

- Paid Chinese public holidays and Christmas Day

- Contract renewal bonus: 5000RMB for one international air ticket fare

Qualifications and requirements

- Native English speaker with a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

- TESOL/TEFL/CELTA (120 hours) certified

- Two-year experience working in related field

- Due to urgency, those who are already in China preferred
