Eastland is seeking experienced teachers looking for employment teaching in China! We have positions with both children and adults for experienced teachers. These positions focus on both students and adults working in professional positions where communicative English is a highly sought after skill. Teachers will be rewarded for experience with a higher than average salary in all of these positions. We currently have three types of positions for experienced teachers (we have other entry level positions not listed here):

Test Prep Instructors who can help prepare high school students for the reading/writing sections for the ACT and SAT exams. These students are preparing for University in North American schools and the highest possible results are needed for each student. Teaching duties include managing small classroom discussions, facilitating group learning activities, providing one-on-one academic support, and giving timely and practical feedback on student assignments. Experience with teach test prep is required. 

Adult Language School Instructors who can help both university students and business professionals improve both written and spoken English communication skills. These centers are highly advanced and require very experienced ESL instructors. Small class sizes are good for both the teacher and students as there is more chance for interaction from all students. The focus of these classes is to facilitate discussions among the students. Two years of experience as an ESL teacher is required. 

K-6 Language School Instructors with at least two years of experience teaching in an ESL classroom. This is a highly competetive program where we are looking for only the best and most qualified instructors who are willing to work hard to make a higher than average salary. 

Salary and Benefits

• A salary ranging between CNY 15,000 and 22,000 monthly (depending on location and experience) plus bonus opportunities

• Flight reimbursement paid at end of contract

• paid national holidays and/ or personal paid vacation days

• visa fees fully paid

• Assistance finding housing

Teach in China: Minimum Requirements 

• Full four year Bachelor’s Degree (3 years in some countries)

• Formal teaching experience (people without experience will make less than 15,000 per month)

• Native English speaker from UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland or South Africa

• Available for a minimum 12 month commitment

• 120 hour TEFL certificate required for the work permit in some regions. If you don’t have a TEFL and need one, we can recommend a great course! They have the lowest price we can find that is accepted in China and offer our teachers a 10% discount: Best TEFL course for China
