Shane Englishwas established in 1977 and has now more than 350 schools in five different countries (Japan, China, South Africa, Poland and the UK).

We have a well established teaching system which focuses on teaching quality. We provide professional training, teacher’s books, course guides, flashcards and a friendly environment.

Students are grouped by age as well as ability and small class size and every class we teach has a Teaching Assistant.

We try to teach our students in a fun and interactive way, so they can learn English but also learn a little about Western culture and what life is like in foreign countries.

Chinese students tend to be overworked and spend most of their time studying, so they really appreciate our classes and enjoy the freedom and the chance to be creative.

Benefits:

Pos ition: English Teacher(Teach English to groups of local students, at Shane locations and in local schools.)

Start Dates: February/March 2015

Salary: 8000RMB a month

Accommodation : Welfare Officer views apartments with new teachers and arranges bill repayments

Holidays: Christmas Day and New Year’s Day, 1 week for Spring, Festival and National Day, another week in August

Airfare Allowance: 4200 RMB reimbursement at end of contract

Travel Allowance: Refunds available on some school travel expenses

Visa: Legal Z-visa, Chinese costs covered by school, administrative costs in own country covered by the teacher

Paid Holidays: Additional holidays can be applied for but are unpaid and subject to cover to available

Other Allowance: 3000 RMB contract completion bonus, quarterly student re-sign bonuses, school party/events for Christmas, Spring Festival and Summer holidays

Over Work Allowance: Overtime measured over 3 month period

Hours: 20 teaching hours a week + 2 office hours a week(staff workshop/professional development training)

Schedule: 5 days (Wednesday-Sunday)

Students’ Age: 3-15, some adult students in private (1-1) classes

Class Size: 8-14 at Shane locations, 20-30 at local schools

Duration of each class: 90 minutes at Shane locations, 20-40 minutes at local schools

Requirements:

- Native English Speaker: British, American, Canadian, South African, Australian

- Degree: Helpful but not essential(TEFL certificate also helpful)

- Age: 23-39

- Teaching/Working Experience : Helpful but not essential
