The Job

Our well established adult language school is looking for energetic, responsible and motivated English teachers to teach adults in Shenzhen, China. We have more than a hundred training centers all over China. With over 15 years in the language training industry, we have a firm belief in providing quality and innovative education.

We are committed to small classes with 4 to 10 students to make sure that every student attains the necessary attention they need. We provide a wide range of activities for students to enjoy with ready-to-use lessons plans provided. Aside from group work and discussion, we also have English Corners, Movie Classes and Extra Curricular trips. This way, the teachers and students can mingle with each other and learn English in a natural and real-life setting.

Shenzhen – The City

Shenzhen is located in the southern portion of the Guangdong Province, on the eastern shore of the Pearl River Delta. Neighboring the Pearl River Delta andHong Kong(located just south of Shenzhen), Shenzhen's location gives it a geographical advantage for economic development. In 1980, the first Special Economic Zone of China was built in Shenzhen. From then on, Shenzhen become a highlighted city of China, one known for its rapid economic growth.

Shenzhen is considered as one of the richest cities in the country which offers foreigners a great insight into contemporary China. From a small fishing village 30 years ago, Shenzhen has turned into a city filled with dynamic energy and on its way to becoming a world-class metropolis. Shenzhen is also known for its famous architecture, bars, restaurants, art scenes and shopping areas.

Main Responsibilities
-Maximum of 25 hours teaching per week
-Afternoon classes (work from 1-9pm)
-15 hours admin work
-Teach VIP classes, Private Classes (1-4 students), Salon Classes (1-10 students)
-Weekend classes with 2 days off during weekdays
-Attend up to one month of paid training before starting to teach (depending on teacher’s work experience)

Compensation
Total monthly package worth 13,500 – 15,500 RMB, which breaks down as follows:

-Excellent salary: 9,000 - 11,000 RMB per month
-Housing allowance: 3,000 RMB per month
-Flight allowance provided: 6,000 RMB (paid on completion of contract)
-Year-end bonus of 2,000 RMB
-5 days paid personal holidays
-11 days national holidays
-Legal ‘Z’ work visa

Requirements
-Bachelor’s degree
-TEFL certificate required for teachers with no experience (No TEFL? – We recommend INTESOL http://www.GoldStarTeachers.com/INTESOL)
-Teaching experience preferred
-Native English speaker from UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa or Ireland
-Professional and culturally aware
-Independent and reliable with a positive working attitude
