Job Description

Job Title: Teacher of English as a Foreign Language

General Responsibilities: The teacher will undertake the following duties as assigned by their direct line manager:

1. Preparing and teaching lessons to a high standard at the company’s schools.
2. Teaching at other locations such as schools, company offices, community halls, or private homes, as directed by the School Manager.
3. Attending meetings reviewing teaching performance and taking action upon issues.
4. Attending training sessions as advised by the Director of Studies.
5. Participating in annual events and promotional and marketing activities
6. Developing resources to support teaching
7. Sharing good practice with colleagues

Qualifications and Experience:  

1. University Bachelor's Degree (or higher)
2. Minimum 24 years old
3. Native speakers of English strongly preferred (non-native speakers may not be able to acquire a working visa)
4. CELTA,TESOL or TEFL certification (120 hours, online is acceptable). Assistance can be provided for otherwise qualified candidates to get a Chinese government sponsored TEFL, which takes 7 days in person, in Beijing.
5. Applicants are expected to commit to a 1 year contract
6. Interest in, and ideally experience of, working with young children

Compensation:

1. Guaranteed monthly salary of 17,000RMB depending on qualifications and experience
2. Overtime pay if teaching above 80 hours/ month
3. End of contract bonus and flight reimbursement
4. Visa assistance
5. Assistance in finding accommodation and 7 days hotel provided upon arrival
6. 22 paid days leave per year including Chinese national holidays and Christmas Day
7. Medical insurance
