The Job
Our school is now recruiting patient, professional and qualified English teachers who are passionate about teaching young learners between 2 to 6 years old and are willing to share their life experience with them. Established in 1993, our school started and currently has 30 campuses in Chengdu and more coming up next year. One of the new schools will open in March, 2014 in Zigong, Sichuan province and we welcome you to be a part of our team in our new school.
Aside from providing quality education, we also have an excellent reputation for treating our international teachers well. Right now, we employ over 40 foreign teachers in our various schools where most of them stay for at least 2 years and some even for 10 years. Our school has its own publishing company and curriculum. Teachers will have access to ready-made lesson plans and guidelines so they can focus on teaching and engaging with their students. Each class is equipped with an interactive whiteboard and each student will have their own scanning pen to assist them in their reading when they get home. There will be 2 to 3 local teaching assistants in each class to cater to the needs of the young learners and assist in keeping the class well-organized. We also encourage our foreign teachers to teach what they specialize in. We have artistic teachers who teach art and the sporty ones teach the sports they are good at.
Zigong – The City
Zigong, also known as the “Salt City” is located in the southern part of Sichuan province riverside of the Fuxi River. Some of its neighboring cities are Leshan City which is in the west and Yinbin City in the south. The city has a reputation for its salt manufacturing history which has been around since before the Han Dynasty (76 – 88 A.D.). Zigong has a population of over 3 million and enjoys a humid monsoon climate. It has a temperate weather with enough rainfall and its winter isn’t very cold.
Aside from its ancient salt museum whose architecture is a masterpiece, you can also find the third biggest dinosaur in the world in their Dinosaur Museum. The famous Chinese Lantern Festival also originated in this city which has been copied in Beijing, Hong Kong and Shanghai. Zigong is used to be called the “Lantern Town” in the South Kingdom. The food in Zigong includes the well-known Sze Chuan cuisine with a number of unique local recipes that is one of a kind even in Sichuan. Indulge yourself with various types of dumpling called chou shou, Sichuan hot pot, diced rabbit in hot pepper oil, frog hot pot and a lot more.
