Teach English to Korean students at one of the finest International Schools in China! 16,000 RMB/month in beautiful Wuxi, China. September 1st start.

We are looking to fill an opening in our elementary school program. We have openings in our K-6th grade positions. We are only considering teachers from the six major English speaking countries (U.S., Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa) who have a college degree and have at least two years of teaching experience. Being a certified teacher in their home country is not required but strongly recommended. Join a professional team of 8 Western and 8 Korean English teachers at our school. Our school serves Korean students, grades K-4 to 12th, from Wuxi and Suzhou, who are looking to maintain their high level of academic excellence in English while living away from Korea.

We follow the official school year of public schools in Korea. Therefore, the school year runs from the beginning of March to the middle of January with a Summer and Winter break. We will be conducting interviews starting the third week in May, so if you are interested please respond ASAP. You should expect to be in China by the beginning of the last week in August at the latest.

While Wuxi is an ancient Chinese city, it has the livability that can only be found in a smaller Chinese metropolis. Located an hour west of Shanghai and nestled along China's largest lake, Taihu, you will enjoy all the conveniences of modern living in its New District, combined with the old world charm of its ancient temple area.

Job Description:

1. One year contract. September 1, 2015 to August 31, 2016

2. Teach spoken and written English full time, 20-22 classes per week (40 minute classes)

3. Normal school hours Mon-Fri (8:30-4:30)

4. Prepare and teach lessons

5. Teach one two week camp during either the Winter or Summer breaks (extra pay given)

5. Weekends and Holidays off

6. Two month winter break and one month summer break off

Remuneration:

1. Salary + housing allowance + bonuses for certifications equals approx 16,000 RMB/month

2. Paid Winter and Summer breaks and Holidays

3. Reimbursement for relocation expenses (airfare plus 2000 RMB for miscellaneous)

4. Health Insurance included

5. One month employment bonus upon completion of each contract

6. Return plane ticket to home country upon completion of services with our school

Qualifications:

1. Native English speaker with a 4 year college degree from an accredited western university

2. 2 or more years teaching experience

3. TESOL/TEFL or similar certification preferred

4. A professional attitude and love for teaching young children

5. 25-50 years old (with lots of energy)

6. Teaching certification in your home country highly recommended
