ABOUT US:
If you’d like to have a great year teaching EFL in China, then here’s a great opportunity to teach at a private bilingual school in either Weifang or Jiaxian municipalities. These schools have English programs that are fun, innovative learning experiences. Native-speaking English teachers receive curriculum and teaching support throughout their teaching tenure. Classrooms are well-equipped with projectors, internet, and televisions to aid teaching. Lesson planning is easy because of great access to teaching materials and technological resources – allowing teachers to focus more on teaching. These small modern schools have full facilities: library, playground, sports fields, student dormitories, and cafeteria. And the students are enthusiastic.
Weifang and Jiaxian are modern areas with populations of around 1,000,000 people which makes them a good size without being as impersonal as many bigger Chinese cities. The cost-of-living is low compared with huge Chinese cities, like Beijing, Shenzhen, Hong Kong, and Shanghai. The salary to cost-of-living ratio is very favorable.
Wise English is a teaching service and curriculum development organization: we provide curriculum, teaching resources, training, and problem-solving supervision on-site for our teachers. When we hire you, you will be working together WITH us. Our organization is owned and managed by experienced EFL teachers. And you’ll be collaborating with an experienced group of other EFL teachers. It's very rewarding being here. Some of our teachers are signing on for their fifth year with us; and signing for a second year is not unusual.
ABOUT YOU:
• College Degree/Diploma, required; (Education, English, Applied Linguistics, Linguistics, or Library Science with primary school focus, preferred but not required);
• TESOL/ESL/EFL certificate, preferred but not required.
• Classroom teaching experience, preferred.
• Age 23+ (based on z-visa and foreign expert certificate requirements)
ABOUT THE JOB:
We are looking for full-time ESL teachers for the September 2013 school year to fill vacancies in the municipalities of Jiaxian, Henan Province and Weifang, Shandong Province (both schools have primary & middle school positions).
• 24 classes/week (40-45 min.), M-F, daytime,
• Free private accommodations with private western bathroom, TV, Internet; and utilities included; free lunch and dinner during the school week, and possibly breakfast,
• Performance bonus up to 1500RMB/semester (2 semesters per school year),
• Airfare subsidy 8000RMB and transportation from Beijing to your assigned school,
• Medical Insurance reimbursement up to 3500RMB,
• 30 days winter vacation with pay 3000RMB,
• Paid statutory holidays,
• Up to 10 classes paid sick leave, and up to RMB1500 perfect attendance bonus; and
• Upper salary range 7,000RMB net, negotiable; low cost-of-living
