Geographic location
Qingbaijiang is a district of Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan Province, China, located in the northeast of Chengdu, and 25 km away from the downtown of Chengdu which is a national famed historical and cultural city as well as a metropolis in west China.
Qingbaijiang is located at Chengdu-Deyang-Mianyang Economic Belt, the most dynamic area in Sichuan. It covers an area of 378 km2 and has a population of 400,000.
The layout of transportation is quite rational in Qingbaijiang. Roads and railway are connected with each other here, so a comprehensive transportation network comes into being here and people can get to Qingbaijiang from all directions.
In 2007, it was honored as one of the first batch of “Sichuan Model Districts of Environmental Protection”.
Beautiful Residential Environment
Qingbaijiang works hard to carry out the strategy of “prosper the district by ecology”, to start the construction of the demonstration economic area with low carbon emission, to promote the joint-establishment of both a national and provincial ecological area, and to strive for UN resident environment award.
Qingbaijiang is on the way to form an excellent complexion that “ecology and industry take off together, environmental protection and construction walk hand in hand, civilization and harmony stand shoulder by shoulder, and splendid landscape embrace scatters all over Qingbaijiang”.
Qingbaijiang has taken some special action successively, including “the five-year plan for environment protection” and the “ecological barrier construction in north Chengdu”, and it has renovated environment comprehensively and deeply. Besides, it has planned and constructed belt-shaped urban forest corridor in the downtown according to the high standard. This corridor is the largest in the southwest of China, and so do its plants. Additionally, this corridor is 10 km long.
In 2008, the air quality of 347 days is excellent.
The catering industry is of all sorts and features. The catering street begins to take shapes. Farm houses and unique food scatter all around Qingbaijiang.
Students: elementary, junior middle or senior high
Workload: 25-30 hours per week from Monday to Friday
Salary: 55RMB per hour (each teaching hour is 40-45 minutes long.)
Contract completion bonus: 10RMB per hour
