At Wuxi Korean School, we are looking to fill an opening in our elementary school program. Join a professional team of six Western English teachers. WKS was founded in 2006 and serves Korean students in kindergarten – grade 12, living in Wuxi and Suzhou. Our students are looking to maintain their high level of academic excellence while living away from Korea. We follow the official school year of public schools in Korea. Therefore, the school year runs from the beginning of March to the middle of January, with a summer and winter break..

While Wuxi is an ancient Chinese city, it has the livability that can only be found in a smaller Chinese metropolis (about 7 million people). Located only 45 minutes west of Shanghai by bullet train, Wuxi is nestled alongside beautiful Lake Taihu.

We will be conducting interviews the week of October 24th, so if you are interested, please respond ASAP. If hired, you should expect to be in China by the last week in February, 2017.

Job Description:
1. One year contract, beginning March 2017
2. Maximum 22 classes per week (40 minute classes)
3. Work hours: Mon-Fri 8:30-4:30, classes plus lesson prep

Compensation:
1. Monthly salary:
11,800 RMB base salary + 500 research allowance
3000 RMB/month housing allowance
700 RMB/month for teaching license (+200 for degree in English and/or MA)
200 RMB/month TESOL/TOEFL certification
2. Paid winter and summer holidays (roughly 3 months)
3. Reimbursement for relocation expenses (airfare + 2000 RMB)
4. One month employment bonus upon completion of each contract
5. Plane ticket to your home country upon completion of service at WKS

Qualifications:
1. Native English speaker (from US, UK, CAN, NZ, AUS, SA)
2. BA/BS degree from an accredited university
3. 2 or more years teaching experience
4. TESOL/TEFL or similar certification preferred
5. 25-50 years old
