Teach Uni in China. 16 Hour Weeks, Long Vacations

Hey ESL Teachers,

I'm currently teaching at a university in Hainan, China and am looking for replacement teachers to start in the fall around mid August.

You do NOT need to be a native English speaker, but you do need a 3-4 year university degree and some teaching experience, preferably with adult learners.

The salary is 8000RMB per month plus 10000RMB travel allowance, paid in 2 parts during summer and winter vacation. You'll have about 3-4 months of vacation in total. Even though you're technically not supposed to take extra work, you'll get a lot of offers if you want to make extra money.

You'll be teaching oral English, pronunciation, writing, or culture classes of about 25-35 students. The administration is very relaxed and you're free to teach your classes how you want. They do provide a book that you can use if you'd like.

The campus is in a rural area and there are not a lot of foreigners here. Everyone is very friendly and the students are well behaved and eager to get to know you. The area is beautiful and is great for someone into running or cycling. That's how I've spent most of my time here.

Travel to mainland China is possible, but takes a lot of time as the area is still being developed. Not really something you'd want to do on the weekends.
