We are seeking dedicated teachers for our accelerated elementary English program at the Si Hai Confucius Academy. The Si Hai Academy is a unique institution in China. Located in the beautiful foothills of northwestern Beijing the academy offers students a modern education rooted in traditional culture and a timeless education philosophy. Students not only learn basic subjects, but are also instructed in Chinese philosophy, calligraphy, history and other cultural practices. There is also a strong emphasis on character development
The school is located in the beautiful foothills of Beijing where the air is cleaner, the pace of life is slower and you are surrounded by nature. The school itself is made up of a collection of courtyard homes each corresponding to a different age group. The students board at the school during the week and spend the weekends at home with their parents. Foreign Teachers(that's you)will be housed in western style apartments 20-30 minutes away from the school near a subway stop to give you greater freedom of travel around the city. Transportation to and from school each day will be provided by a private driver and car.

Si Hai Confucius Academy Positions
-25-28 classroom hours/week at the academy teaching 3 separate classes
-You will be assigned three classes between kindergarten and eighth grade which you will stay with for the entire year
-No more than 17 students in each class
-Monday through Friday work schedule. No weekends or evenings
Salary: 10500-12000RMB/month depending on experience and qualifications
Minimum requirements:
-Bachelor’s Degree
-North American accent (our method is an American method, so you must be a citizen of the US or Canada)
-A teaching certificate OR at least two years relevant teaching experience
-Minimum age of 25
Pay and benefits:
-10500-12000RMB/ month
-Airfare reimbursement up to $850
-2200RMB travel allowance during the Spring Festival
-Health insurance
-Furnished western-style apartment(including utilities)
-Transportation to work and home each day
-Paid vacation days including one month during the Spring Festival
