Navitas Education is looking to hire between 15-20 new foreign teachers (Native English Speakers only) for our public school education sector for the current Spring Semester and 2016-2017 School year (Sept-June). The position is Oral English Teacher (no experience necessary - we train and assist with lesson planning and school resources).

Position
- Elementary Oral English Teacher (current and beginning Sept. 2016-June 2017)
Benefits
- Salary between 9000-10000 RMB per month net pay (10 month contract)

Job Benefits
- No nights or weekend work (not a training center!)
-18-24 teaching hours per week (40 min blocks)
- No required office hours (a.k.a., Seat Warming)
- No required homework, quizzes, or test/exam preparation necessary
- Paid holidays and winter break (usually 3 weeks long)
- Paid time off when public schools dismiss teachers for school events

- Work and live near 10-15 other western foreign teachers
Requirements
- Up to date CRB (criminal background check within one calendar year of start date)
- Bachelors Degree (must be certified by a Chinese Consulate or Embassy officer in home country)
- Up to date Resume/CV
- Current Passport (Native English speakers only - USA, CANADA, UK, AUSTRALIA, NEW ZEALAND)
- Previous employer reference letter

We are located in Zhangjiagang City, Suzhou, Jiangsu Province China 215600 (population est. 1.4 million), 1 1/2 hour from Shanghai, 1 hour North of Suzhou and Wuxi.

Zhangjiagang is part of greater Suzhou, about 150 km due west of Shanghai. The region has a long history. Located at the confluence of the Grand Canal and the Yangtze River, Suzhou has long been an important center, not just for transportation and commerce, but for art, poets and beautiful gardens. Zhangjiagang is considered a model city by the Chinese government and is famous throughout China for the politeness of its people, the cleanliness of its streets and its low crime rate. In 2012, Zhangjiagang had the second highest economic growth rate in all of China.

With a balance of western culture and Chinese traditional lifestyles, Zhangjiagang is a wonderful city for any new comer to the country intrigued by life in China, and also contains the simple Chinese way of life for those looking for a change of scenery and interest in the local culture.

There are plenty of western themed English speaking restaraunts, movie theatres, shopping malls, bars, and pubs to enjoy. If you are looking for typical Chinese cuisine and shop dining, we have that variety as well. If nature is your calling there is an abundance of scenic canals, lakes, gardens, and close travel destinations within an hours distance for your amusement.
