Teachers Needed in Kunming, Yunnan

Pollard International School is a school in Kunming, Yunnan, China. Pollard is named after Samuel Pollard who was a missionary worker in Yunnan who wrote down the language of the Flowery Miao. Influenced by Pollard’s work, one of our school mottos is: a great meaningful life impacts others in an excellent way.

Pollard uses U.S. public school curriculum and textbooks to teach Chinese and international students who plan on transferring to primary school, middle school or high school in the U.S. or other countries. The primary requirement to work with us is to love education and to love children. Pollard International School is located inside the largest park in Kunming, the World Expo Garden. It is therefore both quiet and safe. Kunming is known as the Spring City which attracts many foreigners to live here with its wonderful environment and beautiful weather.

We are looking for three types of teachers to teach math, science, social studies and a variety of English classes and other supplementary and elective classes. First, we are looking for teachers who have U.S. public school certification/license. Second, we are looking for teachers who have a bachelor’s or graduate degree in a particular subject area class as needed. Third, we are looking for teachers who have TOFEL certification to teach our English core area and supplementary courses. We are looking primarily for full time teachers but we often have need for part time teachers as well. We are able to provide work visa for full time teachers, if the candidate is qualified to receive it.
