Teachers Needed in Nantong, China

TEACHERS NEEDED IN NANTONG. We are looking for teachers for our schools in Nantong, Jiangsu Province, China. We specialize in TOEFL, IELTS, SAT, SSAT, and TOEFL Jr. preparation for Chinese students wanting to attend universities or high schools in English speaking countries. Also, we have a young learners program.

Nantong is a mid-sized city in the countryside 2 hours northwest of Shanghai, in one of the nicest provinces in China. It has great natural beauty with rivers lined by parks and tree-lined streets, so a better environment and air quality. Though smaller, Nantong offers a wide variety of entertainment and food for all tastes.

We have openings now with, preferably, a one year commitment. We prefer a native English speaker, holding a passport from one of the native English countries, but also work with Hong Kong residents or passport holders. We offer a monthly salary of 9000 rmb (depending upon your experience and the type of credential,) a modern apartment which we pay the rent, (you pay your own utilities,) and a contract completion bonus of up to 7000 rmb. We offer a foreign experts certificate/work permit/residency certificate, which requires a college degree and two years of teaching experience for foreign passport holders. While not required, a certificate-CELTA preferred- is a plus.

The position requires 25 hours of teaching per week plus preparation, school activities, commuting between our four school locations and meeting time, (so 40 hours or less per week total time including teaching hours,) though we don't require our teachers to sit around the school, waiting for students. Instead, we provide a teaching schedule on Sunday of each week for the work week, Monday through Sunday, so you do have a fixed schedule. There would a mix of kindergarten through university students, with mostly one-on-one students and small classes. Musical abilities are very desirable. For credentialed teachers, we have an American primary school program, teaching a variety of subjects.
