Teachers Needed Now in Sunny and Safe Chiapas, México
The American School Foundation of Chiapas A.C. is a growing bilingual school located in Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas, Mexico. We strive to provide an excellent education to our more than five hundred students from Day Care through High School.
We are interested in filling Kindergarten 1 and Elementary teaching positions with a one-year (or more) contract for the 2012-2013 school year. Teachers begin their contract immediately.
A Part-time English teacher is also needed for the High School level.
Candidates should be qualified, certified teachers with English as their native language who hold an Education degree and/or state teaching certification in Elementary or Early Childhood Education. ESL teachers with classroom experience at the Kinder and Primary level are also being considered for the positions available. They should be creative, enthusiastic, reflective, flexible, and thoughtful educators with intercultural and universal values. We prefer that our teachers have at least one year of teaching experience.
We offer a rich educational program, structured upon well established curriculum guidelines from the Mexican Ministry of Education as well as those from California, USA. With IB Candidate status, we are a school which ensures a safe and thoughtful environment in which students are encouraged to grow as independent, respectful, responsible, and active citizens. We value constructivism and Multiple Intelligences as important components of the teaching/learning process. At ASFC, we promote a cooperative and friendly work environment.
