Teaching English in Guangzhou

Founded in 2004, Guangzhou Tianhe District Markham Education Training Center (GTDMETC) is a branch of Markham International Education Center (MIEC) established in Canada in 2000. GTDMETC is specialized in afterschool study guidance and English language training program.

Licensed by State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs (SAFEA) to recruit teachers from overseas and GTDMETC is a designated sponsor of Z-visa for teachers. Qualifications

Bachelor degree or above in education or related major, TESOL or TEFL certificate is preferred

Mother tongue in English, native English speakers from UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand,

South Africa and Ireland are preferred

At least one year working experience in ESL teaching

Excellent communicative skills, outgoing and friendly personality

Responsibilities

1. Teach English class to students in GTDMETC

2. 20 to 25 teaching hours per week, 5 working days a week

Benefits

Monthly salary starting from 8,000 RMB (approximately USD1400) based on qualification and teaching hours

Subsidies for housing, airfreight and insurance are provided

Paid holidays including all national holidays in China (about 11 days per year)

Qualified teachers may be recommended to teach in local public schools

Contract duration: one year (can be extended)

Visa: Z-Visa will be sponsored by GTDMETC
