Introduction
Jiangsu Institute of Economic & Trade Technology is located in Nanjing City , Jiangsu Province. The institute was founded in January 1983 to train specialists in the utilization and management of technology. The institute is a junior college developed from the renovation of the Jiangsu Institute of Commercial Management. It is subject to the education ministry of Jiangsu province and was set up with the approval of the Jiangsu provincial government. The institute has now topped Jiangsu 's advanced vocational education list, offering a solid basis for students' higher education on undergraduate courses. The institute works as a professional training base in the field of economy and trade.
The institute has 360 regular teachers, 80% of whom are titled intermediate and senior. 85 teachers have received or are striving for master's degree and 40 have a senior title. In addition, more than 60 professors and lecturers are regularly invited to work here.
The institute has 11 departments, such as Business management, Trade & Economy, Engineering Technology, Information Technology, Humanities and Social Sciences, Teaching Units, Modern Education & Technology Center , Publication Information Center , and there are more than 20 teaching and research section including Finance & Economics, Administration, Engineering, Information Technology, Art, etc.
The institute has trained and delivered more than 30,000 personnel in the fields of commerce, trade and business. An achievement famed in Jiangsu Province . Total student enrollment now amounts to 7,000.
The institute covers more than 680,000 square meters and over 60,000 square meters is main buildings. Divisions are all over Jiangsu Province .
The Publication Information Center has a collection of more than 200,000 books with LAN and an E-library; also there are 15 multi-media classrooms, 56 phonetic studying rooms, 600 advanced computers, 39 specialized laboratories, and 30 practical bases outside. A closed-circuit TV demonstration & broadcasting system, broad band net, foreign language broadcasting system can also be found there.
In the near future, the institute will hold modern buildings over more than 170,000 square meters with an investment of 300 million RMB, and should have over 10,000 students. It will be one of the most advanced institutes in terms of subject building, special facilities, talent recruiting, science research, managing level and operating benefit.
