The Job

Our kindergarten in Beijing is now recruiting committed, team-oriented and qualified English teachers who have strong passion in teaching young learners between 2 to 6 years old in China’s capital - Beijing. We are a professional team equipped with advanced educational philosophy methodology. We are dedicated to providing the best there are to as many learners as possible so the students would become life-long learners and global citizens.

As an innovative enterprise, it is our mission to continually create new things. Right now, we have initiated an English learning project for young learners using an all-new education mode. Instead of the traditional classroom setup, we are bringing learning inside the house. We have turned an apartment into a learning environment so the young learners can have a faster transition from home to school. Being surrounded with familiar objects from the house, the teachers can teach new words with great ease. Work hand-in-hand with a local teaching assistant to ensure the safety of the students and to provide them with the necessary attention they require. You will also work with a team of talented individuals and assist in the designing and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculums.

Beijing – The City

Beijing, capital of the People’s Republic of China, is the nation’s political, economic, cultural, educational and international trade and communication center. Located in northern China, close to the port city of Tianjin and partially surrounded by Hebei province, Beijing continues to be an exciting place for all things music, fashion and art with plenty of events and shows to attend.

There is a thriving expat community in Beijing, with the Sanlitun area being a popular destination for both expats and trendy locals to mix and mingle over drinks. One of the most important landmarks in the city is Tiananmen Square. This is the world’s largest public square and a must see for all visitors from abroad and from other places in China.

Main Responsibilities
-Maximum of 20 teaching hours per week
-20 hours admin work per week
-Flexible working schedule
-Whole day weekend classes with 2 days off during the week
-Evening classes during weekdays
-Lesson planning and reading stories to young learners
-Ensure the safety of young learners
-Evaluate and provide feedback to parents and the management team on the students’ performance
-Occasional parent-child outdoor activities
-Introduce the students to western cultures and celebrations

Compensation
-Excellent salary: 10,000 to 15,000 RMB per month (depending on qualifications and teaching ability)
-Airfare allowance provided after completion of contract: 5,000 – 10,000 RMB (depending on your teaching performance the whole year)
-Free accommodation plus an allowance for utilities of 260 RMB per month
-11 days national holidays plus 9 days paid holidays
-Year-end bonus equivalent to a month’s base salary
-Commission bonus for recruiting students (to be discussed with the employer)
-Reimbursement of TEFL-C/TESOL certificates fees once the candidates successfully pass
-Legal ‘Z’ work visa
-Insurance provided
-Professional training with on-going support

Requirements
-Bachelor’s degree related to teaching (preferably Early Childhood Education)
-TEFL certificate preferred but not required (No TEFL? – We recommend INTESOLhttp://www.GoldStarTeachers.com/INTESOL)
-Native English speaker from UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand or Ireland
-Experience teaching young learners preferred
-Must be willing to work a 40-hour week schedule (evening classes during the week and whole day classes during weekends)
-Good observation, communication and written skills
-Strong sense of commitment, great teamwork spirit, passionate in teaching young learners
