Teaching Positions Available in Zhengzhou
School Location: Zhengzhou, Henan Province, China
Start Date: February 2013
Teaching hours/week: up to 30hrs teaching + up to 10 hrs preparation
Class Size: Under 12 students
Salary: 12 000 - 14 000RMB based on experience/qualifications
Accommodation: School-provided apartment for singles or couples
Qualifications
* Native English speaker
* Bachelor's degree (minimum) Bachelor of Education will be preferred
* TEFL certificate or equivalent
* 1+ years teaching experience
* Experience in art, dancing, and music is a plus
Responsibilities
* Planning and delivering lessons
* Evaluating students ' progress and providing ongoing guidance for improvement
* Participating in holiday activities with students and parents
Compensation
* Housing: Partially furnished apartment close to school
* Bonus: 2 weeks severance pay upon completion of the year contract;
* Vacation: 2 weeks paid vacation every year during Chinese Spring Festival and 2 weeks unpaid summer vacation
* All Chinese holidays;
* 5 paid sick days per year;
* Round-trip airfare to China and home provided
* Medical Insurance
* Ongoing training and academic support
* School sponsored working visa
About Maple Bear & Zhengzhou
Maple Bear offers Canadian developed programs which are modeled upon current Canadian early childhood/elementary practice. The program is designed to educate the whole child, physically, intellectually, socially and emotionally. Integration of subjects provides a rich and stimulating program which encourages creativity, imagination and self expression.
Zhengzhou is a provincial capital city with a population of 8 million. It is located in central China, has four distinct seasons and is a transportation hub to the rest of China. It features a mix of old and new (from roadside markets to state of the art malls), parks, Western and Asian restaurants, cinemas, bars etc.
