We are currently looking to recruit for the following positions, beginning September 1st 2016.
Upper grades Teacher: Teaching English classes to grades 3, 4 and 5.
Teaching Drama club once a week (double lesson)
Lower grades teacher: Teaching English classes to grades 1 and 2

Teaching Drama classes to grades 3, 4, and 5
We teach ESL learners using native speaker literacy books. This entails targeting all of the key skills, whilst also teaching key literacy skills that would be taught in mainstream schools in England and America.
There is currently no specific curriculum in place for drama but teachers are encouraged to use these lessons as a way to give the students access to different English stories in order to practice their literacy and comprehension skills, whilst also using the texts as a basis for role-play.
You will work in a small team in which all teachers work collaboratively, so the ideal applicant will be fun, friendly, willing to learn from others, and willing to share their own strengths and knowledge with the rest of the team.
Job Description:
- Teach English to classes of around 20 students. Classes are 35 minutes long, and you would be teaching a maximum of twenty per week.
- All classes are scheduled Monday - Friday 8:00 am ¨C 4:00 pm.
-All teachers must be in attendance during office hours (M-F, 8am-4pm)
- English curriculum is in place including all resources, although teachers are free to adapt
-Create your own drama curriculum, plans, and resources. (some support given)
-Work collaboratively with other team members, sharing and adapting materials to suit students¡¯ needs and target their levels.
- Join in with teambuilding activities, professional development activities and meetings.
- Contribute to course resources and development.
-Join in with school activities and events.
- Opportunities, if desired¡ªto participate in extra-curricular activities.
- Teaching usually begins September 1st and the contract runs until June 30th (2017).
- You will be required to attend the school for a team meeting on August 28th
Qualifications:
- Hold a TEFL certificate or CELTA
- Hold a university bachelor degree
- Be a native speaker of English
- Minimum 2 years teaching experience
- Have a reasonable level of comfort with technology and software: Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Publisher, and Microsoft Excel.
Compensation:
- Between 13,000-15,000 RMB per month, after tax
- 10,000 RMB end-of-contract bonus (related to completion of contract and performance).
- Travel allowance 8,000 RMB per year, ½ paid upon completion of 1st semester, ½ upon completion of contract.
- Paid winter vacation between semesters (about 3 weeks paid holiday, usually in the month of February, ideal for travelling)
- Bilingual staff to assist with housing/cultural issues
- Team dinners/trips to nearby sights
