We are currently taking applications for a few positions in Ulsan City, and one in Seoul/Busan.

#1 ULSAN CITY - English Academy in Ok-dong - 2 POSITIONS (sorry, no couples)

Start Date: Feb 23 or 24

*Salary: 2.2 million won/month
*Overtime Rate: 20,000 won/hour
*Hours: Max. 30 teaching hours/week (MON-FRI) Approx. 2:30 pm to 8:30 pm
*Airfare: Round-trip airfare provided by the school
*Accommodation: Rent-free, furnished housing close to the school
*Vacation: 10 days paid + national holidays paid
*Severance: One month's salary upon completion of a one-year contract
*Age Groups of Students: Elementary/Middle School
*#of Students per Class: Maximum 10
*#of Foreign Teachers at school: 6
*Heath Insurance and Pension Supported

We've worked very closely with this school for an number of years and have never had difficulties with any of the staff there. They are well-organized, fair and fun!

Ulsan is South Korea's seventh largest metropolis, with a population of about 1.2 million. It is currently Korea's largest economy, by far, being home to some of Korea's most prominent companies, including Hyundai. The city is situated on the very green Taehwa River and right next to the East Sea, facing Japan, and is surrounded by mountainous terrain with a few well-known beaches nearby. Some of Korea's best known cultural treasures are also within a short distance of the city.

Ulsan City has a fantastic foreign community with a growing number of amenities that cater to foreigners. The foreign community in this city is quite diverse, growing rapidly, and very welcoming.

#2 Eonyang (15 min. from Ulsan) - English Academy in a new, central city, near Seoul

Start Date: End of April, 2011

*Salary: 2.0~2.4 million won/month
*Overtime Rate: 20,000/hour
*Hours: 25-30/week, approx. 9:30AM ~ 5:35PM (MON-FRI)
*Airfare: Round-trip airfare provided by the school
*Accommodation: New building, Rent-free, furnished housing close to the school
*Vacation: 10 days paid + national holidays paid
*Severance: One month's salary upon completion of a one-year contract
*Age Groups of Students: Kindergarten/Elementary
*#of Students per Class: Maximum 10
*#of Foreign Teachers: 5

Eonyang is a large town, located about 15 minutes outside of the university district of Ulsan City. Ulsan KTX (bullet train)Station is located in Eonyang and puts you only 2 hours from Seoul ($45), 20 min. from Daegu or Busan ($8) and within reach of many other Korean cities for a low price. Eonyang is for someone who wants to live in a small community, where the air is fresh and everyone knows who you are. The director of this school is very friendly and helpful.

#3 Seoul/Busan - Head Office of a Franchise of Academies

Position: Curriculum Developer (Phonics based), Lecturer

Start Date: ASAP

*Salary: Negotiable
*Overtime Rate: Negotiable
*Hours: Varied (Mon-Fri)
*Airfare: Round-trip airfare provided
*Accommodation: Provided, rent-free
*Vacation: Yes(days negotiable) + national holidays paid
*Severance: One month's salary upon completion of a one-year contract

This company is looking for someone with research and development skills and teaching experience. An Education degree is preferred but they will consider other qualifications. Accommodation will alternate between Seoul and Busan, each location being for three months at a time. You will be working with a Korean partner to create phonics-based curriculum for a number of schools in both areas.
