Shijiazhuan g University of Economics

Shijiazhuang University of Economics (SUE) was established in 1953 from the former Xuanhua Geology School. It developed into Hebei University of Geology under the Ministry of Land and Resources of China. In 1985 it moved from Xuanhua, an ancient town northwest of the Great Wall, to Shijiazhuang, the capital of Hebei Province. In 1996, the name was changed to Shijiazhuang University of Economics. Since 2000 it is administrated by both the Central Government and the government of Hebei Province, with the provincial government as its main supervisor.

Over 60 years, SUE has enriched its mission to become people-orientated, advocating compatibility and tolerance. The university has combined its strengths of geology, economics with engineering and management. Now SUE is a university offering seven disciplines: Engineering, Management, Economics, Science, Liberal Arts, Law and Art. The university has 18 schools and 8 research institutes, offering 16 postgraduate programs, 44 undergraduate programs and 14 diploma programs for more than 24,000 students on 4 campuses.
