Students at Seoul English Village Suyu Camp (SEV) study English in a simulated environment through role-playing, dialogue conversation and other traditional and non-traditional teaching methods. Classrooms at SEV are customized for the immersion curricula with a simulated police station, medical center, post office, broadcasting studio, hair salon, cooking class and many more. Our regular program students stay at the Village for one week.

Start Date: We have positions starting April & May. Teachers will be required to arrive two or three days before the first scheduled teaching.
Salary: Monthly salary starting from 2.0 ~ 2.2 Million Korean Won (depending on teaching experience and qualifications) Take into consideration you are living almost totally free and this salary is right up there with starting salaries at hagwons (free housing, free utilities, free internet, free laundry, free meals)
Housing and Meals: A single studio is provided for each teacher. Couples are provided with double accommodation. Three meals a day are provided when camp is in session and students are on campus.
Location: SEV is 10 minutes by bus from Suyu Station on line 4 of the Seoul Subway system. Suyu Station is twenty minutes from Dongdaemun Market.
Teaching Hours: Teachers teach one of two shifts:
Morning shift: 8:50am ~ 5:15pm or
Evening Shift: 1:20pm ~ 8:40pm.
Teachers work 5 days a week
Contract Length: 12 month
Students: Kindergarten, Elementary, Middle School
Airfare: A prepaid ticket to Korea will be provided. Many academies in Korea no long offer prepaid airfare. Upon completion of the one year contract, the teacher will be provided with a ticket home.
Vacation and Holidays: Teachers are given 15 paid vacation days a year. Teachers may take vacation when they choose with Supervisor approval.
National Holidays: SEV teachers do not get every National Holiday off. Teachers are paid a 50,000 won bonus for working on National Holidays.
Dress Code: Smart casual. Jeans are okay if they are neat, have no holes and are not frayed. No flip-flop

Korean Immigration currently requires the following to qualify for an E2 teaching visa:
1. Hold a valid passport from one of the following native English speaking countries; USA, Canada, UK, New Zealand, Ireland, Australia and South Africa
2. Have a minimum of a BA/BS degree in any field
3. Photocopy of diploma – this must be apostille certified.
4. National level criminal background check – this must be issued within 6 months and apostille certified.
5. Self assessed health statement – this must be accurate and truthful. A medical check at a designated hospital is required on arrival to Korea. Teachers may be deported if it is found their self assessment was inaccurate or untruthful.
6. Must be a native speaker of English
You will need an interview with the Korean embassy in your home country after the visa assurance number is issued.

Students at NEV study English in a simulated immersion environment through role-playing, dialogue conversation and other traditional and non-traditional teaching methods. Classrooms at Nowon English Village are customized for the immersion curricula with simulated classes that include a police office, bank, post office, hospital, shopping mall, cultural gallery, airplane and transportation class. Working hours: Teachers will work 5 days a week and will teach maximum of 128 – classes a month. Teachers will be scheduled for six or seven classes a day between 9am and 6:30pm.
9:00am ~ 2:00pm Kindergarten or Elementary Situational classes
Lunch: 12:00pm ~ 1:00pm
3:30pm ~ 6:30pm English Land Text book classes. These classes will be run like academy classes on monthly schedules
Students: Kindergarten and Elementary
Housing: Teachers will be provided housing at Seoul English Village Suyu Campus about 20 minute from NEV. Teachers will be bussed (free) to NEV everyday.
Location: Seoul, Korea - NEV is located across the street from Seongbuk Station on Line 1 of the Seoul Metro.
Meals: Teachers will be provided with breakfast, lunch and a stipend for dinner.
Airfare: Teachers hired for one year will be provided with a prepaid one-way ticket to Korea. Upon completion of the one year contract teachers will be provided with a return ticket.
Vacation Days: Teachers are entitled to 15 paid vacation days for one year positions.
National Holidays: Teachers will be given Korean National Holidays off. If teachers are asked to teach on a National Holiday, they will be paid a 50,000 won holiday bonus.
Curriculum: The curriculum will be prepared by the English Village Programming team. Teachers will teach situational classes during the day and text book based classes (like an English academy) in the evening.
