Reading centers are a new and quickly growing trend in Korea. This reading center was one of the very first, opening one year ago and is doing very well. The reading lab functions mostly on its own, with the students reading independently and then taking an online comprehension test for each book they read. The teacher's duties would be to monitor and guide the students when they need help, and to go through their book reports when they've completed them. The days would be split up between monitoring the reading lab (Tues, Thurs) and teaching phonics classes to grades 2 and 3 students (Mon, Wed, Fri). All material is provided by the center.
