University English Teacher Required

Beijing International Studies University is looking for an English teacher.

Working Period: October 2017 to July 2018

You must be a native speaker of English, with at least a bachelor’s degree, and at least two years’ full-time teaching experience.  An EFL teaching qualification, CELTA or similar, is strongly preferred.  

Benefits: Working visa sponsorship, 12 months’ salary: 7,000 to 8,000 RMB per month, depending on qualifications, also paid during the summer and winter vacations.  Free accommodation on our well-appointed campus in a spacious, light, furnished apartment, with private kitchen and bathroom.  Free electricity, gas, internet, and weekly maid service (or extra housing allowance of 3,500 RMB per month, if you wish to live off campus), health insurance, and one round-trip airline ticket per academic year to your home country.

The contract specifies 16 hours per week of teaching, which is 8 classes.  Your classes are spread over four days, so you will have one weekday off per week, in addition to weekends.  Although each lesson is described in the contract as 2 hours, the lesson time is only 90 minutes, so you actually teach only 12 hours per week.

We are looking for creative teachers who can work in small groups and liaise with their foreign and Chinese colleagues to produce effective, modern, interesting English lessons.
