University in Teda, Tianjin Seeks ESL Lecturer - Tianjin

Two Paid Months off per year plus Free Apartment and Signing Bonus

We are looking for an ESL Lecturer to join our team beginning April 2015. Our program is an EAP preparatory year program partnered with an Australian University. Our program is tasked with helping students raise their overall English skills to a level that will enable them to take intensive courses in their sophomore year from foreign professors.

The job entails teaching for 18-20 academic hours per week with no weekly office hours. Teachers are also expected to contribute material to progress tests and final exams, as well as help mark final exams. Successful candidates will also be capable of helping to gather supplementary materials for classes and plan lessons. There are no English Corners or other mandatory extracurricular activities. Candidates will be expected to teach either Oral English, Writing, General English, or Business English.

Benefits include a free, furnished, one-bedroom apartment on campus with all utilities included. Paid days off include all Chinese National Holidays (approximately 11 days per calendar year) plus a paid month off for Spring Festival. In addition, since Chinese freshmen have mandatory military training during September, our teachers enjoy a paid month off for September for a total of two paid months off per year plus all Chinese National Holidays.

Those candidates available for an April start date will be eligible for a signing bonus.

Preferred contract length will be 15 months (through the end of the 2016 academic year in mid-July)

Mandatory Requirements:

*be a native English speaker from the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, or New Zealand.

*have a BA and TESOL/TEFL Certification

Preferred Requirements:

*have at least one year university experience

*work well with minimal supervision

*have some experience with teaching either Oral English, Writing, General English or Business English.

Preference will be given to those candidates already living in China.
