ELEMENTARY POSITIONS

Currently we have two options available:

Elementary position (2 classes)

• 15 classroom hours/week in our Elementary program

• 6 office hours/week

• You will be assigned two classes between kindergarten and eighth grade which

you will stay with for the entire year

• No more than 20 students in each class

• Monday through Friday work schedule. Teachers only teach from 7:50-12:15 or

1:00-4:20 at the elementary school, so it is only a half day of teaching

Salary: 8500 RMB/month

Elementary position (3 classes)

• 25 classroom hours/week in our Elementary program

• You will be assigned 3 classes between kindergarten and eighth grade which

you will stay with for the entire year

• No more than 20 students in each class

• Monday through Friday work schedule from either 7:50-4:20 or 9:00 to 4:20 depending on the day.

Salary: 12,750 RMB/month

PAY AND BENEFITS:

-8500-12,750 RMB/month depending on option.

-1000RMB/month bonus for applicants with a Master’s degree in Education or a

government issued teaching credential

-Airfare reimbursement up to 7500 RMB

-Accident Insurance

-Furnished western-style apartment (including utilities)

-Transportation to work and home each day

-Over 6 weeks of paid vacation days including one month during Spring Festival

-Group Mandarin lessons

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

-Bachelors Degree

-Native English speaker with North American accent.

-A teaching certificate OR at least two years relevant teaching experience.

-Minimum age of 25

NOTE: Beijing now requires teachers applying for the Foreign Expert Visa to

supply a Criminal Background Check with proof of no prior criminal record

through either your local police department or the FBI. More information on this process can be found on your state's website as well as the FBI website.

Carden China teaches using the Carden Method®, an American teaching

method. We can only accept native-English speakers from North America.

Since 2002, Carden China has used the Carden Method to teach English to

Chinese elementary students in Beijing China. Carden China teaches English to
