Position Available:Part-time Academic English Writing Teacher

School:High School Affiliated with Beijing Normal University – International Department

Location:Beijing, China

Contract Duration:First semester of the school year, from September 1, 2013 through January 17, 2014

Compensation: 200RMB/period, pre-tax (effectively ~190RMB/period, post-tax)

Goal:to equip graduating students with the necessary writing skills for their college application essays, research papers in college and other academic writing in the future

Students: 12th Grade students who will apply to college abroad (25 students per class, 2 classes of students)

Teaching workload: 40 minutes per period, 4 periods per week (2 periods per class); prepare syllabus; prepare and grade homework assignments; write and grade exams

Working hours:Mondayafternoon (2 periods),Wednesdaymorning (2 periods)

Basic Qualifications:

-Native English speaker

-Solid academic background and teaching experience in relevant subject

-Good communication, interpersonal and coordination skills

-Ability to teach well-planned, interesting, informative and interactive classes

-Enthusiasm for teaching and ability to adapt to a new environment

Preferred Qualifications:

-Experience teaching advanced classes

-Experience in ESL and cross-cultural instruction
