Urgently Seeking Part-time Toefl Speaking / Academic Writing Teacher

We are currently recruiting a part-time instructor to teach a TOEFL Speaking course and/or an Academic English Writing Course in one of the top public high schools in Beijing, China, beginning September 1, 2013. Position Available:Part-time TOEFL English Speaking / Academic Writing Teacher

School:High School Affiliated with Beijing Normal University – International Department

Location:Beijing, China

Contract Duration:First semester of the school year, from September 1, 2013 through January 17, 2014; second semester optional

Compensation: 200RMB/period, pre-tax (effectively ~190RMB/period, post-tax)

Goal:to equip students with the necessary speaking skills for their TOEFL examinations

Students: High School students who will apply to college abroad

Teaching workload: 40 minutes per period, 12 periods per week; prepare syllabus; prepare and grade homework assignments; write and grade exams

Working hours:Monday afternoon, Wednesday morning (for Writing Course), Wednesday afternoon, Thursday afternoon, Friday morning (for TOEFL Speaking Course)

Basic Qualifications:

-Native English speaker

-Solid academic background and teaching experience in relevant subject

-Good communication, interpersonal and coordination skills

-Ability to teach well-planned, interesting, informative and interactive classes

-Enthusiasm for teaching and ability to adapt to a new environment

Preferred Qualifications:

-Experience teaching advanced classes

-Experience with TOEFL, ESL and cross-cultural instruction

-Currently based in Beijing with valid Z visa
