Various Science Teachers and English Teachers Needed in Suzhou

Our prestigious international school in Suzhou is looking for the following posts for the fall term commencing from Sept,2015 .

We run the Cambridge Primary, Cambridge One and Cambridge IGCSE courses and we need subject teachers in Maths/Chemistry/Physics ,English teachers for Middle school and kindergarten and head teachers for English department and kindergartern. Please note that our school is boarding school and the teachers need to assit with the pastoral care of the school.

Openings :

Head of English Department --Teach up to Senior High school (16- 18 years) (experience of management and IELTS preparation an advantage). Bachelors degree + 2 years experience of teaching at least, ideally with teaching qualification.

English teacher -- We need flexibility, so ideally across the age range. mostly middle and high school.

(Bachelor degree + 2 years experience of teaching at least, ideally teaching qualification).

Maths teacher —Bachelor degree plus teaching qualification, experience of ESL an advantage.

Physics / Chemistry teacher-- Bachelors degree plus teaching qualification, experience of ESL an advantage.could be combined Maths/Science

Kindergarten teachers: 2 openings, Bachelors degree plus teaching qualification, experience of ESL an advantage.

Business/Economics Bachelors degree plus teaching qualification, experience of ESL an advantage. Up to A level standard.

The Role

• Subject teaching for A levels and on the pre-A level course

• Supporting the schools extra-curricular programme

• Supporting the extended working day of a typical boarding school and weekend activities

• Assisting with the pastoral care of the school, the PSHE programme and university applications

made by students

• Supporting our Cloud School by appearing in video captured lesson content !

Person Specification

• Qualified teacher status highly desirable

• Bachelor degree or above in relevant subject

• Recent experience and knowledge of teaching within a secondary school is preferred

• A positive attitude that supports students throughout their course.

• An enthusiastic, friendly and professional manner

• Experience with supporting university applications highly desirable !

The Contract
