Vocational College Positions in Beijing

Sojourn.Life is currently seeking 20 native English speakers from the US, Canada, New Zealand, Australia or the UK to teach English in one of two vocational colleges in Beijing, China. The positions are in the Beijing College of Finance and Commerce and the Beijing Polytechnic Institute. To qualify you must hold a minimum of a bachelor's degree, have two years of work experience and a 120 hour TESOL certificate or a significant amount of teaching experience. A proven work ethic and good moral character are also musts. According to Chinese visa policy, successful applicants will also be required to pass a health exam and background check before a work visa can be issued.

The positions in both schools are publicly funded by the Beijing Department of Education. The majority of our current English teachers in these schools average 14 classes per week (45-minute classes). This is an outstanding opportunity to earn a competitive salary for a relatively light work load all while experiencing life in the cultural and political center of China.

Compensation

14,000 RMB and above per month depending on education and experience.
Reimbursement of all visa-related expenses
Health insurance is provided.
Reimbursement of one round-trip airline ticket per year.
More than one month of paid holidays (national and school holidays).
Airport pickup service.
Optional outings will be arranged, both inside Beijing and beyond.
Free housing accommodations are provided by the school.

Start Date and Contract Length

The start date for this position is September 1st, 2016. Successful applicants must sign a eleven-month contract.
