Job Description

We Are Looking for English Teachers to Join Our Team Here

Hardoon International Kindergarten

Beiqizhan, Changping district, Beijing.

Hello all!

We are looking for English teachers to join our team here at Hardoon International in Beijing.
Our school opened in February and we are starting to expand our English teaching staff.

Our school ethos is to create an English speaking environment for our students; an English teacher is placed with a class and will stay with them for the day. You will teach their English lesson and then stay with them for lunchtime, snack time and during the general lessons. (A good way to practice your Chinese!) After the children have to gone to bed for their afternoon nap, you can eat lunch at the school and then have a 2 hour break where you can go home if you want.
In the afternoon you go back to your class and can encourage them to speak English during school activities. The children go home at 5pm which gives you 30 minutes to relax or finish any work, you can then stay for dinner at the school if you wish.

Currently, we have 2 English teachers. Myself (Jay –female) and a male teacher Ashley. We are both British. I have been with the school since late January and I have loved every moment. Ashley arrived last month and the children already love him. It is hard work and you will need to apply yourself, but the job is very rewarding getting to see the children grow and learn everyday.
The Chinese staff at our school are very welcoming, friendly and hardworking.

The ideal candidate:

-You must speak good English, clear with no strong accent.
-British nationality is preferred, but if you have a good clear speaking accent then please apply regardless.
-Some teaching experience is preferred as the job is tough, but not required.
-Your highest school qualifications, degree not required.
-Hard working and enthusiastic with good ideas.
-Live in China, or able to arrive ASAP.
-18-30 (We have lots of student staff here)
-Speak some Chinese (but not necessary).

Job Details:

-5 day working week, Mon-Fri. (Some weekends for holidays such as Children’s day and Easter, we throw events, but you are given a day off in the week.)
-7:20am start and 5:30pm finish with a 2 hour break at 12:30 – 2pm.
-Students aged between 2-6 years old.
-Curriculum provided, but we are adapting the course and applying our own material and methods. (Bring good ideas!)
-Approximately a 40 hour working week, no more.

What is provided!

-Free nice apartment with furniture, kitchen, and bathroom with shower and toilet, TV, fridge and washing machine in the Beiqizhan area.
-A good salary, enough to live well in China. Wages are determined by experience and education. But the average wage for English teachers here is 6000-8000rmb. (Chinese teachers 3000-4000rmb)
-Visa is provided, but without a degree the school cannot provide a Z visa. Our school is not in central Beijing and our local police and council are aware the school may hire on a L or F visa. They are happy for the community to have real English teachers.
-Assistance in China is provided, our school currently has an English speaking assistant and we are in the process of hiring more. So if you need help with bank accounts, a phone, shopping or even a haircut then the help is there.

Email or call for more information on any of the above! You will be put through to my phone.
