Job Description

We are seeking passionate ESL instructors who possess the drive and ability to create and execute intellectually demanding lessons that will develop the critical thinking, writing, and speaking skills of our students. Our enrichment programs emphasize high-level reasoning, logic, and analysis, so we require outstanding teachers to develop appropriate lessons and to challenge, inspire, and mentor our students in the classroom. We are hiring for Primary & Secondary ESL instructors for our offices in Beijing and Shenzhen.

We believe that being an effective teacher is not simply about teaching experience. In addition to the listed criteria, we look for people who will have classroom “presence”: a sense of sincerity, humor, or charisma that will command the attention of our students.

Requirements
• A degree in the areas of Education, English, Philosophy, History, Political Science, International Relations, Economics or any other critical thinking and language-intensive major
• Alternatively: TESOL, TEFL or other English Language teaching certification
• A strong grasp of teaching the three main types of writing (narrative, informational, and persuasive) with respect to both grammar and style
• Previous experience developing curricula and planning lessons
• At least one year of experience teaching English or similar subjects to primary or secondary students
• Knowledge of effective classroom management techniques
• A genuine concern and high expectations for students and their learning
• Previous personal or professional experience in writing is a plus
• Critical thinking and excellent oral and written communication skills
