Yonsei University, Intensive Writing / Ps&p Workshop
Yonsei University was established in 1885 and has been developing English education system to raise elites who will become global leaders in the future. Yonsei University FLI (Foreign Language Institute) is a prestigious language institute with a great reputation for maintaining high quality language programs not only for students but also for businesspersons. With 40 years of experience, FLI is well renowned for its systematical curriculum and teaching techniques with highly achieved faculty members.
Yonsei University Foreign Language Institute is coordinating a 2012 Summer Intensive Writing / Public Speech and Presentation Workshop. FLI (Foreign Language Institute) will provide high-quality English workshop to intermediate level to advanced level students. IWW will not only provide intense studies but also gives chances for them to learn how to become a Global Leader. We would like to welcome teachers who are willing to participate in this program.
* Program period (Residential - 2 weeks)
-Writing Workshop: July 30 - August 12 (14 days - Day off on August 5)
-Training Session: July 29, 2012
-Public Speech and Presentation Workshop: July 30 - August 11 (13 days - No day off)
-Training Session: July 29, 2012
* Location
Yonsei University, SongDo International Campus, Incheon
* Housing
Teachers will stay at the dormitory in Songdo Campus
* Working hours
-9:00 am - 8:30 pm, Monday through Sunday.
-Actual teaching hours will be about 41 hours per week.
-Instructors are required to edit students writing work every night.
* Class Hours
-9:00 am - 6:30 pm (50 minutes per period, 10 minutes break in between)
-6:30 pm - 7:30 pm (Dinner time)
-7:30 pm - 8:30 pm (Daily review hour)
* Salary
-2,000,000 ~ 2,200,000 KRW (Editing Fee is included)
-1,000,000 KRW airfare support provided for the teachers who reside outside of Korea
- It is mandatory to attend training session. If missing, 50,000 won will be deducted from the salary.
* Qualification
-Teachers with M.A. or higher degree in Writing or English Literature are preferred.
-Teachers who are currently or formerly employed as a writing teacher in private or Public high schools, middle schools and elementary in Korea or in the U.S. are preferred.
* Application process
* Required document: Official resume with a recent picture of the applicant
* Interviews: Phone interview will be scheduled after the resume screening
