The Azores are a Portuguese archipelago in the Atlantic Ocean, about 1,500 km from Lisbon and about 3,900 km from the east coast of North America.With a population of only under 200,000 and it's population scattered over a number of islands, English teaching positions are probably limited. For English teaching jobs try contacting the universities and schools directly on the main island Sao Miguel Island. The offical spoken language on the islands is Portuguese.
