Teach English in Belize

Belize, formerly known as British Honduras, is the only English-speaking country in Central America. Belize was a British colony for more than a century and was known as British Honduras until 1973. It became an independent nation in 1981.

Credentials are not normally required in Belize and because of the ecomonic standing of most of the citizens most English teaching positions are of a volunteer nature. Many teaching positions are provided by NGOs (i.e. the peace corps, the service corps, etc).
