Teach English in Brunei

Brunei, is a tiny wealthy country located on the island of Borneo, in Southeast Asia.

For such a small country with a small population there are a number of opportunities for the TEFL English teacher to teach in Brunei. There are a number of private language schools and government run universities and primary-secondary schools. Other places that are worth enquiring to are one of the many teacher recruiters that are looking for English teachers to teach in Brunei, or else you could try the relevant Government departments.

The above institutions are located in a range of locations including small villages, by the one of the beaches or even rural schools located in the rainforests. Most of the students you would encounter teaching ESL/TEFL English in Brunei's government schools would probably be children from a poorer background - being Muslim Bruneians with their mother tounge being Malay. Schools are of a high standard with good resources for the teachers and most English lessons would normally be taught in the mornings, with the rest of the day normally used by students for extra-ciricular activities.
