Teach English in Dominican Republic

The Dominican Republic is a Latin American country located on the eastern two-thirds of the Caribbean island of Hispaniola, bordering Haiti. Hispaniola is the second-largest of the Greater Antilles islands, and lies west of Puerto Rico and east of Cuba and Jamaica.

If you would like to teach languages, particularly English, there are many immediate opportunities. There are a few language centres on the Dominican Republic and they are frequently looking for native (or even very good) speakers of English. Teaching certificates are looked favourably on, but are not always required if you have a university degree of some kind. Try to secure you position before arriving in the country as it is much easier than travel to each school in search of a position.
