The High School Affiliated to Anhui Normal University is a provincial key and example school directly under the management of Anhui Province Education Department. This high school has been developed for 100 years from the Yuying School, Cuiwen Academy, Cuiwen Middle School, Wuhu No.4 High School, The High School Affiliated to Anhui Normal College, The High School Affiliated to Wannan University and The High School Affiliated to Anhui Normal University. Located in the foot of the beautiful Fenghuang Mountain of Wuhu City, our school covers 6.34 hectares and has over 30000 square meters area of construction. We have six centers that are academic subject center, integrated practice center, science experiment center, books center, physical activities center and student life center, among which, the equipments of the physic laboratories, chemical laboratories, multimedia classrooms, computer rooms, internet control center and animal specimen rooms in the science experiment center are in the top rank.
We have 189 regular staff, among which, 164 full-time teachers with 89% awarded Bachelor’s degree, 64 senior teachers, 7 teachers of special grade, 3 core teachers have been participated in the state-level training, 5 teacher stars in Anhui education circle, 12 postgraduates have graduated or working on their postgraduate programs. Several teachers are of certain reputation in Anhui Province and even our China.
The fundamental idea of the High School Affiliated to Anhui Normal University is to completely carry out the education policies of our Party and country, to fully promote the education for all-round development and to train the new generation of people with lofty ideals, moral integrity, good education and a strong sense of discipline as well as of accord development in the aspects of moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetics and labor education. To improve the people’s quality is our fundamental purpose and the core is moral education. We put emphasis on the training of initiative spirit and the ability of practice. Meanwhile, aimed at the object to turn out the people with the characteristics of being aware of how to build his life and how to learn, to firm his foundation, to dare to bring forth new ideas and put them into practice, and to develop completely. In the past years, large quantities of qualified graduates have walked out from our gate with full-around development education results and their unique characteristics. The development thought of our high school is firstly to be more powerful and then to be larger one. We will do our best to put our high school into the rate of state-level example school with first-rate teachers, first-rate equipments, first-rate management, first-rate quality and first-rate benefit. Within the recent years, we have taken steps to reform inner systems, push ahead with education for all-around development, to train students’ initiative spirits and abilities of practice, and certainly we have achieved certain results. In the aspect of reform of management systems, we firstly change the inner distribution system to carry out the policy that you work more and you will get more to gap the wages so as to stimulate the enthusiasm and the sense of responsibilities of our teachers. In addition, we took the lead to employ foreign teachers to teach the English courses among all provincial key schools, which immensely improve the teaching level of the foreign language speaking. Meanwhile, we also hold the science and artistic literature festivals celebration as well as sports meeting to full the campus life and to train the students’ spirits of science and innovation.
