2 ESL Teaching Positions in Ha Long - $24/hour - Immediate start

Shelton DG islooking to recruit 2 teachers in Ha Long as we are expanding at a faster pace than expected.

We will offer $24 per hour to a sincere and committed teacher who cares about our students and is able to cope with the following challenges:

- Large class sizes of 45 – 50 students (though this enables us to teach low income students).

- Basic classroom facilities (though Shelton DG classrooms will tend to be much better).

- Split shifts (though limited to a 5 day working week).

- Chaotic organisation within the system (both in Vietnam and some elements within our company, but we are continually improving).

- A need to plan and adapt lessons for grades 1-9 (though grades 10-12 have been fully provisioned).

Yet we have grown by 450% on every measure since 2010 and we offer some of the clearest and most lucrative contracts (stable) in any region.

In addition to the high hourly rate, we offer a 15 hour minimum-guarantee per week, calculated across the course of each month – we usually offer 18 – 20 hours teaching per week.

Finally, we will also pay 70% of the hourly- rate for a lesson that is cancelled with less than 8 hours’ notice.

However, we will not pay ANY OTHER COSTS that are related toward providing a high standard of service. We provide course-specific textbooks based on the UK national curriculum, but expect teachers to plan, add extra content, assess, and ensure that our students are speaking for at least 50% of the lesson.
