The position details:

Small family owned school with 1 other foreign teacher and 3 Taiwanese teachers

Full curriculum and materials provided

Great kids, reasonable class sizes (average 10 / max 15) and a positive work environment

Free temporary accommodation available for first month

Salary is $550NTD per hour / contact completion bonus $15,000NTD

1 week paid holiday at Chinese New Year and other national public holidays

ARC and Health Insurance provided

Approximately 14 - 18 hours per week with the possibility of more in the future (ample income to live comfortably in Penghu)

No set office hours - prepare lessons in your own time before class

Working hours generally fall between 3pm-8:30pm Monday - Friday (possible Saturday mornings)

**Teaching Experience Required**

Teachers are required to have:

a degree from a recognized University

a passport from either US, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa

experience working with young people

a professional attitude and open mind

ability to take directions

ample funds to re-locate and establish in Penghu

We are looking for an outgoing, friendly, co-operative, flexible teacher who has the ability to teach elementary - high school levels with a high level of enthusiasm and dedication. This job requires a strong commitment to the school and students and we expect our teachers to go the extra mile, while hoping we can offer them an enjoyable place to work and grow as a teacher.

We can help you find accommodation, scooter, etc. to help you settle. The job also allows for plenty of time to explore the islands, or alternately, take on some private students and make a bit of extra income in your spare time.
