Native English Teachers Needed in Ho Chi Minh City

Responsibilities:

Native English Teachers (NET), teachers have to perform the following responsibilities:

- Act as the main teacher in the class responsible for answering parent questions and supervising children’s study at the school.

- Study the MB curriculum and units well.

- Deliver the MB curriculum and units in the class with good quality

- Write progress report (twice a year), weekly report, weekly lesson plan. A detail of reports is given below.

- Leading the Vietnamese Teacher Assistant (TA) in preparing teaching materials, looking after children and supporting teaching under the instruction of the NET.

- Together with the TA, look after children by working with parents, sharing with them on the children’s progress in the class through daily interaction when they pick up and drop their children, email and telephone, answering parents’ questions on issued related to children’s development at the class.

- Attend in staff meeting, parents-teacher interview, school event if any during the contract time.

- Attend meeting and conference with the school’s education specialists.

- Attend monthly staff professional development meeting

Requirement:t

- Certification to teach in North American public schools or an established background in kindergarten education.

- Minimum 2 years of experience in the classroom.

- Flexible and cooperative

- Patient and kind with children

- Good understanding of childcare

- Culturally sensitive

- Able to communicate well with local teachers and maintain a true respect for the country we are living in and for Vietnamese people in general
