The Tashkent Ulugbek International School is seeking a Year Eight and Nine secondary school teacher who has a formal (university awarded) teaching qualification obtained from a country which has English as it's first language.
Ideally we're interested in employing a teacher who has previous experience of working with students that come from a variety of international backgrounds. Most of our pupils use English as their second language.
Our school teaches entirely through the medium of the English language apart from lessons in the Uzbek and Russian languages which are taught by local teachers. The successful applicant will be required to teach students to the level that is is needed to obtain, at the end of Year Nine, the Uzbekistan's Ministry of Public Education Certificate of Basic Education.
Our curriculum is based on the UK National Curriculum (2010) with some modifications to meet the demands of the Uzbekistan Ministry of Public Education.
We offer a good package which includes salary, annual return flight ticket between Tashkent and the capital city of your home country, plus a near school apartment and health provision. Posts will be available to start on or about 26th of August 2013.
