The ELT Division is a global leader in the provision of multimedia English language teaching and learning materials. Operating in over 100 countries, it reaches millions of teachers and students each year to support the development of English language proficiency.

This new post will carry responsibility for directing the development and provision of Professional Development products and services in line with OUP’s mission and ELT’s Vision. It presents a significant opportunity to play a leading role in establishing a new area of activity and revenue for the division.

You will:

• Implement the strategy for Professional Development products and services which will support sales of the ELT list

• direct the management of a market-leading Teacher Development and Applied Linguistics publishing programme, print and online

• provide leadership and direction to the Professional Development team and to recruit, manage and develop team members to optimise their individual and team performance

• assess and prioritise opportunities for growth in Professional Development

• manage internal and external stake-holder relationships

To be successful in this post you will need:

• ELT publishing and editorial experience

• Direct experience of Teacher Development/Educational Services

• EFL teaching experience

• Interest in methodology and current trends in ELT

• Familiarity with Publishing processes and digital/blended learning

• DELTA/Degree or MA/Sc. in Education.
