Senior Editor, Teacher Development - Oxford, UK

The ELT Division is a global leader in the provision of multimedia English language teaching and learning materials. Operating in over 100 countries, it reaches millions of teachers and students each year to support the development of English language proficiency.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Senior Editor to work on our successful teacher development materials.

The role requires a good understanding of ELT classroom needs, an interest in teaching methodology and applied linguistics, strong organizational and project-management skills, and the ability to manage freelance editors.

Working as part of a small, dynamic, supportive team, you will be responsible for developing content for both print and digital media. You will work closely with in-house teams and freelancers to ensure content is developed in line with market requirements to excellent standards, on budget, and on schedule. You will be capable of working individually and as part of a wider team.

The ideal candidate will:

• have experience of teaching EFL overseas, preferably to adults, using a range of ELT materials;

• have a creative approach to content development with a good understanding of teacher and adult learner needs, preferably in both digital and print contexts;

• be ready to take on demanding projects to tight deadlines;

• have a good eye for detail, and excellent communication and organizational skills;

• have an ability to develop strong working relationships, both internally and externally;

• have an MA in TEFL or Applied Linguistics.
